One of my neighbors wanted a sign for their backyard. They tend to get lots of birds that they then feed. So they wanted to call this arbor covered area the Pelican Bar. Naturally I needed to create this sign in a tiki style.
I found a nice pirate style of font and routed around the letters creating an outset look. I then torched and wire brushed creating the weathered look. I also added some darker torched spots for character.
This was the first two sided sign I’ve ever done. There didn’t need to be font on both sides, but they just waned the same weathered look on the back that the front had.
