Custom Distressed Sign for My Mom

This is the first sign I created, as a test, after I chatted with Spike (a friend of Justin Scarred’s) and he taught me how to do this tiki style of distressing. You use a torch and burn the sign, then wire brush it to remove the charring. And you repeat the process as much as needed. You can also add lines or divots to give it a more weathered look.

Though, this sign was a test to see how well I could produce this tiki style I learned, it was also created for my Mom with the name, “Ashton” on it, as is my nephew’s name, and her first grandson.
