I made a few of these, but mainly just as tests. I wanted to see how thin I could make them and using as few electronic parts as possible.
Built using the Glowforge laser and it’s Proofgrade plywood and acrylic sheets, its only 3 layers thick. Each layer being 1/8 of an inch. I have tested with 1 and 2 LEDs to try to brighten the lighted blade, but still didn’t come out as good as I wanted.
I’m not going to sell these for copyright reasons, but after I tweak it a little, I will sell the .SVG file for it. Hopefully making a forth layer, which will allow for 2 layers of blade and I’ll be able to put some cellophane in the middle, it will enhance the brightness.
Plus I don’t thick using the copper tape will matter then as well.. so I’ll swap that out for actual wires and maybe see about a different battery.
