Epoxy Resin or CA Glue

Suggested Glues & Accelerators

It is usually suggested the use of CA glue for most gluing applications. CA (cyanoacrylate) glue is most commonly known as “Super” glue, but there are many other brands that make a CA, though, they are all basically the same. In addition to CA glue, there are a few types of accelerator sprays that can be applied to the glue to help drying times, usually causing the glue to set in seconds.

In some cases, however, a stronger glue may be required, and in that case, epoxy should be used.

No matter what glue is being used, please use gloves or try to avoid getting it on your fingers. Read all directions and safety warnings.

CA Glue

Use a few drops along the piece you are applying then push together and hold for 10 – 20 secs. If should hold. You may use clamps or rubber bands to hold in place if needed.

Another solution to apply to CA glue is an accelerator. An accelerator is usually a spray or aerosol can spray, that when sprayed or applied onto or around the gluing area, will cause the glue to setup and dry immediately, so you won’t have to hold anything in place while it dries. We recommend using Starbond CA Glue.

Epoxy Resin

Squeeze out entire package onto a piece of cardboard. With the included stick, mix together and apply it. You can use a small amount, as a few drops on small pieces or spaced about 1/2 inch out apart on larger pieces. A little goes a long way.

Hold down glued pieces for about 20 – 30 secs. The epoxy will become rather tacky so it should hold pieces in place by then. If not, hold for another 20 secs. It will dry within 5-10 mins.

It may smell bad. Use a mask if you must.
